As well as providing management services for bands, DJ’s & producers, Third Floor Sound is also a community space where local people can come together, learn new skills and meet like-minded creatives. They have two recording studios and a performance space. The aim is to eventually set up a Third Floor digital radio station where the agencies artists can showcase their talents.
For this project, I wanted to create a distinctive and bold brand identity. With 3 words in the name and being called third floor, I used solid 3 stacked solid rectangles to represent 3 floors, highlighting the top one, or 3rd floor using the accent colour. For colours, once I realised that the letter O in sound could be used to represent a recording symbol, the obvious colour choice was red as is commonly used for that symbol. I then created some brand assets and marketing materials, using iconic song lyrics in the ad campaigns, as suggested by the brief.
